Fine, We Will Potty Train You.

On Sunday January, 22 Bryant was sick, so I decided to keep Chloe home with Bryant and me from church and potty train her (She is about 20 months old, crazy I know). She has been taking off her diaper and wanting to sit on the toilette for a few months now. We talked about training her back in November but decided to wait till after the holidays, but then things kept coming up. We finally had a week with nothing in it.
She is doing really good with it (Better than my boys EVER did). She averages about one accident a day, which is usually my fault. She can’t climb on the toilette by herself, and we keep the bathroom door shut because she loves to get into the drawers and under the sink, plus she is not a big fan a the little kiddy potty, so if she can‘t find James or me fast enough it‘s not good.
She has definitely been the easiest to potty train (trust me I deserve one). I am so proud of my little girl. She is growing up so fast. I love you Chloe!




A little side note, I made those leggings she is wearing in the picture below out of women’s knee high socks. Thank you Pinterest.

Take A Hike.

Why? Because it is good for you, great family fun, you discover new things, and the kids love it. Just a few of the reasons.

We went to Butler Wash over MLK weekend. The kids loved it. We went to the Ballroom Ruins, and the Target ruins. I had some fun memories from hiking there with my friends way back when. The kids loved climbing the rocks, seeing the ruins, and eating lunch the best. We had really good leaders leading the way, but we had one leader (Ethan) who thinks when he is “the leader” he doesn’t need to listen.

Ethan was a little stressed out down in the cave area. We kind of told him we thought it would make a nice new home. He didn't think so.

Chloe saw me taking pictures of the boys without her (the nerve), she freaked out and wanted out of the carrier, then walked right over to be in the picture. I’m glad she did.



Towards the end Chloe and Ethan got cold are were done, but over all it was a great way to spend our time.

Contemporary Art?

It looks like we have another artist in the family.

Notice the little boy in time out in the background... I’m just saying you don’t give a 1 year old markers. Someday he will say he discovered her.

Christmas!!

This years Christmas was really fun. All the kids loved everything, and are at such fun ages.

Bryant asked for a Knex set and Santa delivered. He also got some basketball shorts, and a really nice art set from James and me. He really liked his Hex Bugs too.

Conner wanted a robot from Santa, but good ol’ Santa out did himself and gave him two robots that can fight each other (what more could a little boy want). He also got a soccer kit for when the weather warms up.

Ethan wanted building blocks, and was overjoyed when his dream came true. But of all the gifts he got his favorite by far was Chloe’s Kitchen set. He loves it way more than Chloe. For a while when ever she would play with it, he would scream, “MOM!!! Chloe is playing with my kitchen.” I had to explain to him that it was Chloe’s kitchen, but two can play with it and Chloe would let him play with her. Ethan’s response was, “It’s MY kitchen and only one can play with it, ME!” I showed him the box a little later which had a picture of a little boy AND a little girl playing with it. I said, “See Ethan, you can both play with it.” He just glared at the box. It is better now.

Chloe wanted a baby doll. Well she got one from Santa, one from James and me, and one from Grandma and Grandpa. She loves all her baby dolls, but gets overwhelmed sometimes when she wants them all to come with her, she only has two arms, but like a true mom she makes it work.


We went to my parents house after Church. A little side note, I loved going to church on Christmas day. It helped with remembering what Christmas is all about. That of course was quite the spoil fest. The kids loved every moment. Then we had our traditional omelets for lunch.

Christmas Tree Cookies! Sooooo Yummy!

I saw these Christmas Tree Cookies on Pinterest (my new favorite site), and decided to do them for Christmas Eve, and make one for Santa. They were so delicious, and the kids had so much fun making theirs, and Santa’s.







Here the kids are displaying their finished product. The boys look upset because I told them they had to wait till desert at my parents to eat theirs.



Chloe was so proud of her masterpiece.

SNOW!

Remember when it snowed on December 3rd? I know hard to believe since we are in the middle of January and going for hikes in jackets. Here are some pictures from our snow day.
