We just got back from our trip. We had to go up to Salt Lake to take Conner to an allergist for peanut allergies (PS don’t give him anything with peanuts in it, thank you). We thought sense we have to go to Salt Lake, we should make a vacation of it, and go up to Rexburg Idaho to visit James’ brother Kevin, and his wife Liesle.
We stayed in Layton at Phil and Jens house the first night. When we got there we met up with Brione and Dave for Dinner, what a crazy dinner. First we decided to go to Wingers because we heard that their kids menu was cheap. We found one on the GPS and Dave thought he knew where it was, but the street wasn’t quite where he thought it was, so we followed the GPS which told us to go on the freeway even though we didn’t want to, well the exit to Wingers was closed so we had to go clear up to the next exit, and then back down, about half hour latter we finally went to Dave’s first choose which was only around the corner from where we started. Dave and Brione had been having fun at Lagoon all day, so them and there cute kids were so tired (By the way Ariana is so tall, and smart, and Ayden is way cute, even though he was sick and tired). Ayden was so sad all during dinner then he spit up and pooped on Dave, and between that and my kids not listening it was a difficult dinner. It was good to see them though.

The next day we headed up to Idaho. We had so much fun with Kevin and Liesle. Liesle took us to a free water park (check out pictures). My kids loved it, it was so fun and we happened to come the last day it was open. I think every town should have a little park like this. When we got there it was a little chilly and the water wasn’t on yet so we played at a normal park right by it. I was cracking up at these two little “new moms” who’s babies were bundled in there winter best. The kids couldn’t put their arms down. They must have been sweating bullets. 10 minutes latter it was warm enough to play in the water. It really was awesome. I want to go again and next time I am going to play with them, James had fun too.

Then we decided to go to “Bear World”, because James had heard from Wendy that it was neat. A little pricey but the kids loved it. You drive through the first part and it had deer, billy goats, and a rare white elk (weird huh). Then you have to row up your windows for the next part where you drive where the bears are. It was awesome there was about 40 or 50 of them. Then you get to go see the baby bears (which you can feed if you’re rich). Then a petting zoo with goats, a pig, and deer does, and fawns so cute. Last there is a little amusement park for the kids. My boys loved the whole thing so much, and I think Liesle and Kevin liked it too. When Conner was on the car ride that goes in a circle, every time he came around he told the girl who was running the rides “faster.” He would look right at her, the littlest kid on the ride “faster”, we all were laughing so hard, I wish I had it on video. I can’t describe how funny he was.

We went through the bear park again, and I was in heaven I was so happy, a tour bus that was feeding the bears were in front of us and so most of the bears were in one place, we were surrounded when they left.
The next day we went up on Campus with Liesle to see a garden up there, it was very pretty. The walk up there James looked so funny Liesle is 8 months pregnant then Bryant, and Conner and Ethan was in his stroller, James looked like quite the polygamist. When Kevin got home we went to the sand dunes which looked fun, but it was cold and windy so the sand was pelting everyone (I was in the van with Ethan). We are going to try to go again in the summer. We had tons of fun Thanks Liesle and Kevin.
When we got back to Layton we found some people who don’t like CafĂ© Rio (I am not going to say their names for their own safety). James could not believe that they didn’t like it. He kept saying “Why? Why? What did you order? I just don’t understand.” They took us to their favorite burrito place Chipotle (?). It was good. We had fun visiting with Phil and Jen, Thanks.
We went to visit my brother Dustin at his bank, while there we told him why we came up there for Conner when we left he suggested we go to a restraint called “Five Guys Burgers and Fries”. He said they have the best burgers, and the fries are cut that morning and are really good. Well we decided it was worth a try and went looking for it. We got lost on the way and had to call, and he helped us find it. Well we walk in and there is a big box of peanuts by the door, then on the tables there was peanuts everywhere, then we looked up and there was a big sign that said “Our Fries are made in 100% Peanut Oil”. Yeah we took off. I called up Dustin and said “What do you have against Conner”, he didn’t even think of it, it was pretty funny; we went to peanut free McDonalds instead.
Overall a great trip, but there really is no place like home. Thanks to everyone.
P.S. Conner was extremely good for the Dr.
