Looking Good Conner

The pictures aren’t that great, but James taught Conner how to tie, his tie.
It was one of the requirements for scouts.

12 Years!

For our 12 year anniversary we went over to Durango and road the train through the canyon.  It was so beautiful, and so much fun.  I can’t believe it has been 12 years.  We have been through so much together, and we still love each other.  Actually I’m pretty sure we love each other more each year.

Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam!

Chloe's first day as a Sunbeam!

Becky and Greg Got Married!

I forgot to blog that Becky and Greg were married in December.  I just realized I also lost the reception pictures when Chloe sucked on my memory card.

Bluff Balloon Festival

In January we went to the Bluff Balloon Festival with my parents.  Kristin Black gave us some great tips like what time to go, where to park, take hot chocolate and donates for breakfast, and we put a mattress in the back of the truck to sit in.  It was a really great morning.

We chased one of the balloons and ended up right under it.  Then it came down, and they got to watch them put it away.  The kids loved it.

We went to Bluff Fort afterwards to play.

I think Bluff Fort makes the kids think being a pioneer was so much fun.
They love riding, and pulling the handcarts.

Ethan tripped and got a bloody nose.  He screamed, “This place is so dangerous.  Why did you bring us to this dangerous place?  I want to go home.”  So we had to leave the “dangerous” place after that.

Christmas 2013

I am a little sad because Chloe put my memory card that had my Christmas pictures on it in her mouth, and I lost all the pictures from our Christmas morning at our house.  But I have the pictures my dad took up at their house, so I’m happy I have something.  Overall we had a wonderful spoil fest.

Ginger Bread House!

I bought the "kit" this year.  It was worth every penny.  So easy, no stress and fun.

Vegas Baby!!

We went to Vegas for our girls trip with my Mom, Candace, and Jami.  My dad was a guide for one of the main directors for the show “Le Reve”, let’s just say the tickets were worth a lot, and we had great seats.  The show was amazing.  I don’t think my heart could handle going to it again.

Balloon Stand

In November Ethan came in all upset because nobody was buying his balloons. I go outside to see what he was talking about and this is what I find. Balloons with a pump, I’m pretty sure you would have to tie your own, then he has glitter glue (that doesn't really work) to decorate it with. He has had one customer (my mom) and I think she was very pleased with her purchase and the customer service. I think $1 a balloon is totally reasonable. By the way, he would have taken a penny. Later the Jacobsen kids came over and bought some from him, that really made his day.

Halloween 2013

For Halloween Bryant was a ninja, Conner was a mummy, Ethan a Skeleton, and Chloe was a ballerina princess. They all were so cute, and had so much fun playing their parts.

Bryant and Conner did their pumpkins completely by themselves this year.  They did an awesome job.  Chloe and Ethan were good helpers with theirs, they loved pulling out the guts the most.  James did really good on his pumpkin face too.

James and I were invited to the Snyder’s Halloween party.  We went as pirates.

I love these pictures of the kids.  Conner dancing with Chloe is my favorite.

Had to add this picture.  Look what I made at Relief Society!

Working on the New House in September

Ethan wants to be a architect and a builder when he grows up.  He loves building, and creating things all the time.  He decided to build a fort, basically he has a really good frame up for his fort.  Then him and Chloe took empty boxes from the move and laid them down like it was carpet.  I love these pictures because it shows Ethan working so hard, and Conner reaping the rewards from his labor.  Also I threw in a picture of James working on the shelves in the food storage room.

Here are some other pictures of James working on the bookshelves in the front room, and sanding and painting the swing set.  I didn’t do much of anything, but in my defense, I was just barely pregnant and felt like crap.

Love Under Water Pictures!

First Day of School!!! August 15, 2013

Look how big they all are on their first day of school. Yes I sent cinnamon rolls with them to bribe their teachers. ;)
I have been really happy with all of my kids teachers this year.  All the kids love their teachers, and love going to school.

Bryant is in Mr. Turk’s class  (I didn’t want to ask for a picture with him and embarrass Bryant).  I asked Bry if he wanted me to walk him to class, he gave a nervous laugh and said with a shrug, “Sure.”  It is so weird that he is in 5th grade now, and this is he last year in elementary school.  I don’t know how I’m going to take this transition to middle school.

Conner is in Mrs. Grover’s class.  I was a little worried about having her as his teacher because she bought our house, and I didn’t want it to be awkward between us if something went wrong with the house, you know like flooding in the basement that has never flooded.  It sounds like the cities pipes have backed-up, I felt so bad.  But she has been very good to Conner, and completely professional with us.  It’s been a good year.

Ethan’s is in Mrs. Moulton’s class, which I wasn’t worried at all.  Mindy was our Primary President and I was her 1st Counselor, so I knew she would be great with him.  He is also in speech therapy and is doing well with that.  He is in the higher reading group, which is really good considering he has a speech impediment.  He is a great little reader, writer, artist, and great a math.

Chloe is in Mrs. Turks, and Mrs. Lana’s preschools.  She loves both of them, and so do I, and she has learned so much.  She loves going and making friends.  It was hard at first for her to go, she was a little clingy, but she soon realized she has fun, and I come and get her when it is all done.  Preschool has been really good for her.

Tennis 2013

Tennis was so good this year.  Both boys have improved a lot.  I don’t remember what place they both took, but they both did a ton better then last year.  I need to give them more opportunities to practice.

The football team had a rock climbing wall that they were getting ready to take down.  They let Ethan and few other kids climb it, but before Bryant and Conner got a chance they had to go.  Ethan didn’t get very high, but he liked it.
