Pumpkin Carving

Turned out pretty good.

So the night before Halloween we finally carved our pumpkins. James is the one who made the wolf (Bryant's pumkin) and the Vulture. I made the others (we didn't think the kids were ready for knives). While James was on his second pumpkin I started working on the three others. I finished them in the time it took James to trace the Vulture. The funniest is that Bryant told me that I was a better artest, because I didn't need the paper with the prints on them. Kids are so funny.

I woke Ethan up so he could be in this picture. That's right Mom of the year.

Playing Soccer with the Boys

I was in the middle of making dinner, and feeling (believe it or not) overwhelmed with the children. James decided it was a good time for "Father and Sons" time and went out to play soccer with them. It seems like a wonderful, safe idea don't you think, well we were wrong. Conner kept trying to pick up the ball when Bryant was kicking, and then Bryant doesn't quite get that there is "no I in Team". Let's just say it was a good thought. Ethan had fun, safe on James' shoulders. Thanks for the effort James.

Halloween Throughout the Years

I thought it would be fun to post some past halloween pictures. It was so weird and fun looking back at the boys. Bryant has gotten so big and Conner too. I was thinking while looking at the pictures how it seems like I have spent way more Halloweens with my kids yet it has only been a handful, haven't they been apart of my life for more than 5 years (never mind I can't explain it). It will be fun to add Ethan to the Halloween pictures soon.

Canning with Grandma and Grandpa Johnson

Cute pictures of Ethan with Grandma and Grandpa Max

So I decided it is about time I learn to bottle. My mom use to do it when I was a kid, but she stopped about the time I probably would have learned, so my Grandma said I could come out and they would bottle peaches with me. I went to buy some bottles from the Merc and my Mother-in-Law Ann gave me a ton THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH ANN!!! My Father-in-law Bob also gave me lids too THANKS! So Ethan and I headed over to Eastland. It was nice spending the day with my Grandparents. They were tons of help we bottled two bushels of peaches, my Grandpa and Terry went to Dove Creek the day before and picked them for me soooo nice. I was supriced, it wasn't hard but it was very time consumming and I had lots of help. Well now I am an expert.

I also went and did apple sause with Dorene and Brookie (More jars and lids from my in-laws), and then more apple sauce with James (He took a half day off to help me). My Mom let me bottle in her kitchen because it is bigger and easier there. Haven let me use her dehydrater to make apple slices and apple fruit leather (so good) Thanks! Everyone has been so helpful and nice to help me learn to bottle Thanks to everyone who helped!

Well now you know why I have'nt blogged for so long, between canning, reffing and reading there was little time for blogging.

Funny Picture

I got this picture for Bryant's all about me day, it is his Johnson cousins (now there is Ethan and Claire so it is out of date). I love it because all of the kids were so put out,Check out Brett in the middle holding baby Evan, his face is the funniest.

My New Niece

Here is the announcement for David and Jami's baby girl. I think she is the cutest baby girl. By the way my Mom and Candace said that she looks like me when I was a baby. Congrats David and Jami on having the first Grandaughter on the Johnson side, after the run of 9 Grandsons. I'm OK with you having the first, I think I will just settle for the favorite.
