Easter 2012

For the Easter Egg Hunt, James hid the eggs in four different spots and gave each kid their own area. I was assigned to help Chloe, hence all the pictures of her. The kids loved hunting for eggs in the rocks. James made it a nice challenge for everyone, even Chloe.

I think Conner and Chloe look so much alike in this picture.

My Beautiful Baby Girl is 2!

Chloe was extremely (like a only girl) spoiled for her birthday. We really didn’t mean for her to get as many gifts as she got, I just forgot that we had some downstairs in storage waiting for her. Then grandma and grandpa showed up, and that didn’t help the spoil fest. She did have fun though.

So I ended up having to make two cakes. I got done with the first cake and then put it in the oven for “safe” keeping (stupid). I did think twice about this, and said to myself, “I’m not using the oven tonight, we are grilling, it will be fine.” Then when it was closer to dinner I decided to broil the buns to make them a little more yummy. Are you seeing where I’m going with this. So I turn on Hi Broil, and then go down stairs to get some gift bags for Chloe’s presents. I come upstairs and the fire alarm is going off, and I was informed that the cake caught on fire (Marshmallow Peeps are very flammable). They had taken it outside and I was a little devastated, but I couldn’t cry because my in-laws were there. I pulled it together and made another cake in record time. I didn’t even get a picture of the burnt cake before they chucked it (really the biggest regret). I will never hide a cake in the oven again (well maybe never).

I can’t believe how fast time goes, my little girl is 2. Chloe has been such a perfect addition to our family. She is my best little running errands buddy, she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger, and her brothers adore her. She is pretty demanding, but very smart and so fun to spend time with. I love you Chloe! I’m looking forward to lunches and shopping trips in the future.

APRIL FOOLS!

My friend Beth and I decided to have an April Fools dinner with our families. It ended up being so much fun. I am so glad we did it. I do think Beth and I had more fun then the kids though.

Cupcake? No, It’s meatloaf with mashed potatoes.
Little rolls, while we have big ones (We gave them some after).
Frogeye Salad. Not really made out of frog eyes.
Egg? Yogurt with peach.
Kool-Aid? Water with food coloring.
Pizza? Big sugar cookie with frosting.
Yummy Drink? Jell-o. Good luck drinking it.

April Fools! You can’t drink that, it’s jell-o. Hahahaha!

April Fools! That’s not Kool-Aid, it’s water. Hahaha! (This one was probably the meanest).

April Fools! That’s not a cupcake, it’s meatloaf with mashed potatoes. Hahaha!

April Fools! It’s not pizza it’s a cookie. Hahaha! (They really liked this one).

There I was taking pictures of adorable Carson, and then Bam! There’s this cute little girl in my lens. Heaven forbid mommy take a picture of someone else.

A couple things to add. The kids were most hesitant to eat the “egg”. The two easiest things (the egg, and the water) had the best response, but it was all awesome.
Ethan sat by Beth during dinner and kept kicking her and saying, “April Fools”. So apparently you can do anything on April Fools Day, as long as you follow it with “April Fools.

It was so fun. Thank you so much Millwards for messing with the kids heads with us.
Dodger, Ethan, Chloe, and Bronx enjoying the nice weather.

Best Friends:)

I have no idea what these two were talking about, but they sat there and talked for a good chunk of time. They really are best friends. I hope as they grow up they will continue to get along.

Snow Cones!

The kids love the snow cone maker, and so do I. I gave them each a snow cone and sent them outside, then I looked out at them and they were all together trying each others snow cones, and enjoying their own. Thanks for the snow cone machine grandma and grandpa.
