Sad Day for the Francoms :(

So I have been meaning to post about the bunnies and how much fun they are. I am sad to report that one of the bunnies is no longer with us, what's really sad is he was the most friendly one.
First let me tell you a little about each bunny, then I will tell you what happened. The female lop is named Lops (supper creative I know). I let her out of the cage about 4 days ago and we can't catch her, but I don't mind because she stays in the yard under or by the shed. Now I have decided not to catch her just to tame her a little by feeding her and petting her if I ever get close enough. She is really cute and fun to watch hop around.

The Rex bunny was named Bunny by Conner and then out of no where he said he wanted to name her Roxy which I like (either way it seems to be a show girl name:). Roxy Rabbit is supper soft and sweet. She is good to let you hold her and likes it under the shed too, the difference is you can catch her.

Hopper was Bryant's rabbit and by far the best. He would let you just cradle him like a baby and hold him forever. Bryant would be outside holding him and talking to him, and swinging with him. Every time I saw Bryant with Hopper I would think 'that is so cute, I need to get a picture, maybe tomorrow.' So I didn't get many pictures of them together, just the one's from Ethan's birthday.

Bryant wrote this at school. His teacher said he looked everywhere for the rabbit stamp, silly wabbit.
My rabbit likes me. My rabbit lets me hold him.

Last week we had Conner's pre-school come visit the rabbits, and then three more of Lana Latham's classes. I took Hopper into show-and-tell for Bryant. He was soooo happy to show off his rabbit, and all the kids loved him. Bryant had the funniest look on his face like he was way happy but didn't want anyone to know so he was trying to contain it, play it cool.

Well now it is time to tell what happened to poor Hopper. Bryant was outside playing with him and was just walking around holding him so I went to fold some laundry. A little while latter I hear Bryant say "Mom, Mom come look." When I got there he said, "look at my rabbit, he can play dead." I look and the rabbits head was flopping all over. I said "Bryant, he isn't playing dead, he is dead." I asked him what happened and he said he was throwing him in the air (doing tricks), and then he was playing dead, he had broke his neck. We both cried, and then I had to go to my friend's house for a baby shower, and I cried some more there, but my friends helped me feel better about it. Bryant feels so bad and I think he understand now about being careful with animals. What's weird is he is the last one I was worried about.
He wrote this after it happened. If you look closely you can see the sad face on the bunny.

I just talked to my Dad, he told the guy we got the rabbits from what happened and he said he probably landed on his nose. If a rabbit lands on his nose even at a short distance it will kill them instantly. So anyone who owns or wants a rabbit it is good to know how tender their noses are.

Good Week for Grandpa!

World Record!

Ladies get your husbands, they will want to see this. No, this is not an elk. My grandpa Max Johnson shot this deer 40 years ago. My Dad took it up to the Sportsman's expo. last week to put at his booth. Three guys came on Saturday and took the deer for a while. When they came back they told my Dad that it is #1 in the WORLD, it is the new world record. It beat the old record by 8 points. Way to go Grandpa! The people that measured it are going to take it on tour around the world and then in a year it will end up in Reno where they will give my Grandpa an award.

The Thursday before the world record my Grandpa was awarded The Farmer of The Year for San Juan County. He works so hard and does such a good job it was great seeing him get some recognition for all his hard work. They had a nice dinner at lamp light, and my grandma gave a life history. It was a great night, and he was so happy.

My Grandparents look so happy, I love this picture. I hope I will get to grow old with James. They are so cute.

I don't remember this other guys name, but he got Rancher of the Year. He was funny and seemed really nice.

Way to go Grandpa! Two huge things in one week:)! I'm so proud of you.

Ethan Turns ONE, and has Two Birthdays!!

Ethan turned 1 on Friday but my Dad was out of town and my Mom left latter so we had his extended family party last night. We had a little party with our little family and our cousins Phil and Jen came to it. We had a nice little party.

Here are the boys “helping” Ethan open presents.

Ethan started to walk, but decided not to…

Instead he thought it would make a good weapon. With two brothers you always have to be looking.

Looking for more presents.

Conner enjoying his cupcake:).

Bryant showing everyone how good it is.

Ethan loved his cupcake soooo much he couldn’t stop smiling.

He looks like the Joker, which kind of makes me sad.

Ethan’s second party was at my Mom’s house. I always make a cake for just baby to dig into and then a cake for everyone else. I am getting pretty good at it, these cakes only took me about 30 minutes to decorate.
I did the teddy bear for Ethan because he loves his teddy so much, and the bunny for everyone else to kind of sum up the theme of the party (if you read on you will see the theme).

Brett and my Mom with Ethan. Ethan loves Brett, when ever he sees him he points and says “Butt” which is Brett in Ethan language.

Ethan loved everyone singing to him.

Candace was helping Ethan stuff his face.

These pictures are of Candace and Grant arguing about who gets to shove Ethan’s face in the cake. Candace won:).

Bryant was so good helping Ethan. He is such a sweet big brother. Conner is sweet too, he just has a different approach.

Ethan loved his swing I got him for outside. I put him in it today and he just smiled and held his teddy.

What is in the box?

I have been looking at getting a bunny for a while, I had found a person up North right by where my Dad was staying so I asked him to pick a mini lop, or a mini rex up for me. The timing was just right I thought we could give it to Ethan (really all the boys) for his birthday.
He got a little Mini Lop.

AND a Mini Rex.

AND a Dutch.

I should have known my Dad couldn't just get one. He thinks each kid needs to have their very own. It was kind of weird though, Conner fell in love with the Rex, and Bryant gravitated to the Dutch, Ethan seemed to like the Lop the most. The boys are happy but now we need another cage because parents are going to keep the black and white one at their house, its a male, the other two are females, also James only wanted one, we will compromise with two. We need names too, any suggestions?

I Am Loving the Nice Weather!

Ethan loves, loves, loves his teddy bear. His aunt Cheryl gave it to him when he was born and it has become his favorite. The other day we got home from my Mom's late at night and I realized that his teddy bear was in the washer so I had James run down and put it in the dryer why I got Ethan ready for bed. We had to do a breathing treatment which he usually is pretty good for, but he usually has his bear. He cried the whole time it was awful. Then James took him and tried to calm him down, but he just screamed. A little while latter James comes in with Ethan and three stuffed animals. They went through every stuffed animal we had and those were the ones that Ethan seemed to be halfway okay with, they each had different features that were like his bear. Then James told me (and then showed me) that when he was looking for his bear he wouldn't cry but would have a concerned look on his face, then when he stopped looking Ethan would cry, it was so funny. Don't worry the bear finally was dry enough and Ethan greeted him with open arms. We will not forget to put it in the dryer next time.

We are going to go to DISNEY LAND! We decided to tell the boys because they really don't know what it is and so we can really build it up for them. Well our reservations and information came in the mail along with these little bags for the boys. Bryant was so excited when we gave it to him that he disappeared for a while and came back with his bag packed. He had his superman cape just incase he "needs to help someone." Then he had a shirt and his teddy bear, everything folded up nicely. Then Conner wanted to pack so Bryant helped him, he put in two pairs of pants and two shirts which were folded up neatly. I am so excited to go; the boys will have so much fun, maybe as much fun as me.

St. Patrick’s Day
I am kind of a dork when it comes to holidays, I love them and for some reason I love St. Patrick’s Day. I made green pancakes with green milk for breakfast. Notice Bryant's disappointed look? He was mad because I had told him a few months ago when he wanted a green pancake like his grandma made him when he was in Lana's that I didn't know how to make them. He said I had lied to him, which I did:0. I just told him I figured it out.

At lunch I let them paint their bread with milk with green food coloring, then you toast it, then I turned the soup green too. I don't think I am going to do anything green to the dinner for two reasons: 1. James is sick of it, and not a big fan.
2. I don't know how much green dye is too much, I am sure we reached our limit.

I love nice weather. Here are the boys enjoying the nice day outside. Ethan loves being outside so much, I wish he could walk so he could enjoy it more. It was such a beautiful day:).

The Cortez Rec Center with Friends

We finally made it to the Rec Center in Cortez. We went with Brookie and her kids, Val and Wendy and the Tanners. We had so much fun and it wasn’t as expensive as I thought it was going to be. Towards the end James and I went down the big slide and it was way fun. I think we are going to try to go again sometime.

Conner taking a nap on the drive over, he looks so uncomfortable.

I did video of the swimming area so that everyone will know what to expect, people would explain it but I still didn’t get it.

Here is video of Ethan helping me blow up the floaty.

Here is Ethan's birthday invitations that I did. I think they turned out pretty cute. I can't believe he will be one tomorrow, poor thing has been sick all week but he is getting alot better everyday. I love him so much.

Way To Go Bryant!

This post is dedicated to Bryant. He came home from school last week with this new book a slinky (that is already lost to the world) and this certificate from his school. They were having a heart attack reading contest to see who could read the most books in February. Bryant said he wanted to win, so we read and read and read 65 books. My aunt had given me some phonics reading books that he could read, and then he would bring some books home from school. He did so good and I am so proud of him.

Then on Saturday morning he lost his first tooth. I was hoping his first would be the black dead tooth. He was so happy that he gets to write his name in a book at school. He also was so excited about the tooth fairy he was so happy to get to bed. He got two quarters for his tooth, I think he did pretty good. By the way that isn't blood on his face, it is James' candy that they got into while I was getting ready.

So today Ethan was sleeping and Conner was at school and I gave Bryant his lunch while I swept the kitchen. Then he said “All the mommies are doing what you are doing.”
“What?”
“All the mommies are sweeping right now.”
“Well what are the daddies doing?”
“The daddies are all a work, and all the boys are eating lunch watching their mommies work.” Then after a few minutes he said. “We need to have a girl, huh.”
“Why do we need to have a girl.”
“So that we will know what all the girls are doing right now.”
“Bryant you are so funny.”
“I know.”
