Prince Ethan, and Princess Chloe

The day after Chloe’s party, Ethan decorated his own crown (no longer a tiaras) and helped Chloe put on her princess dress over her clothes. They are such good little buddies.

What is the best way to celebrate a princess? By having a princess party.
 

The princess party was actually James’ idea, believe it or not. I told James I wanted to go to Disneyland, and let Chloe have lunch with the princesses. James isn’t the biggest fan of Disneyland, or spending money, so he said, “Why don’t you just invite some of your high school friends to dress up and have lunch with her?” From that comment the princess party evolved.

Yes, I know she was a little young, but some of the girls I wanted to ask were seniors and will be gone next year, and I really can’t just sit on this idea that long, it’s too awesome.

Every high school girl I asked was so willing, and so excited. Really “who wouldn’t want to dress up in their prom dress, and pretend to be a princess?”

 

The prep for this party was a little crazy, but the actual party was so easy because I had so much help. I want 6 teenage girls to help me with every party.

 

First the princesses did the little princess’s nails.

 

Then while their nails were drying princess Heidi read princess stories.

 

 

 

Then a good game of pin the tiara on the princess, (this ended up so cute, I just wish I would have done the body darker).

 

Then they decorated princess crowns.

 

Time to open presents (spoiled little girl).

 

Cake and ice cream. Notice Chloe’s dress matched her cake.

 

 

Then they danced the morning away with their marshmallow dipped in chocolate wands, till their rides came.

Thank you Kellie, Jenera, Heidi, Brooki, Brooke, and Erin for all your help.  They are all so beautiful inside and out. What great role models for these little girls. 

 

This was my favorite party I’ve ever done. Thanks again to the princesses for all their help. Chloe and her friends made some wonderful memories that day.

Derby Time!

And the Winner is….. Bryant!

Ethan was so cute. He would yell, "Ready, set, GO!" before every race.

Last year was miserable watching Bryant’s car lose every race, so this year when he brought home the car I told James that they needed to research and start working on it right away. I didn’t care if he took first overall, I just wanted him to at least when a couple races. Well all that effort paid off, he took first in EVERY race he was in, and not just barely, he won by a lot. Bryant was so happy, and such a great winner. He complimented the other racers, he celebrated when they did well, he didn’t rub it in that he was winning, and winning by so much. I was so proud of him.

 

 

Easter 2013

Happy Birthday Ethie-Beethie-Lemon-Squeezie

 

Happy Birthday to my little Ethie-Beethie-Lemon-Squeezie. Man I love this kid so much. He was so fun to give things too because he was so extremely happy about everything. He is sooooo busy, and sometimes I don’t think I’m going to make it through the day with him, but man he smiles and says, “I love you” and my heart just melts.

Hike to the Stalactite/Stalagmite Caves

James took the day off for Ethan’s birthday, so we asked Ethan what he wanted to do and he said go for a hike. We went to the stalactite caves at Comb Ridge. It was a great hike, but I’m not going to lie, it was kind of hard on the pregnant woman. There were fresh snake tracks everywhere, we are pretty sure there is a den up there. It was kind of freaky.

On the drive out we randomly saw my nephew Brett and his friend going to the same caves. It was our first time, and theirs. I thought it was crazy seeing them.

Snowmobiling with Becky and Greg

During spring break we were lucky enough to spend the day snowmobiling with Becky and Greg. We were so happy that we had fresh new snow for the occasion. It was a ton of fun, thanks for spending the day with us guys.

We love snowmobiling and sledding with the kids. On this outing we actually saw a ton of cougar tracks at the spot we stopped to go sledding. It didn’t take long for James and I to decide to play in another area.

Happy 11 Years at Camp Jackson

For our 11^th anniversary this year we decided to snowmobile up to the new lodge and spend the night. This was my first time staying over night during the winter. We took some stakes and some easy to prepare things and cooked up a way yummy dinner. I love that we have snowmobiles and can visit Camp Jackson during the winter. By the way, it really has been a great 11 years. I love you James!

Being home with the little ones is so fun (most of the time). These pictures were taken when I was 20 weeks (½ way), Ethan actually took the picture of me. 

The little ones playing in the snow with their snow man named Harry Potter. I wish we would have gotten way more snow this year, and not just so we could have played more.
