Here's Conner running/hiding from the firetrucks. He didn't want a repeat of what happened on the 4th:).
Our kids came away like bandits. We got the sunglasses, the little cooler Bryant has, otter pops to put in the cooler, popsicles, water bottles, coloring books, sample smoothies, raffle tickets, frisbees, and two bags of candy. The candy will be great for Halloween, Christmas, Easter, Birthdays etc. :).
So funny story. On the way to the booths James and I were arguing about where to park (I know some of you are perfect and don't fight in front of your kids, or at all, but I didn't want to have to drop the kids off on the side of the road so we could "discuss" parking). Well Bryant decides to take James' side and says, "Daddy your the best." I was a little annoyed but just ignored it. Then Conner says, "Mom your a bis." "What" I say with my eyes following out of my head. "Your a bis", he says with a proud smile. Then I hear James laughing, "he's saying your the best." I started laughing and was so relieved my child didn't have a potty mouth. Let's just say he did a great job of ending the fight.
The boys tried out bobbing for apples. It took Bryant a little bit to figure it out, but after watching the other kids he bobbed like a pro. Poor Conner tried so hard me no luck. I bet we were there for 10 minutes of him just trying to get the apple. We finally had to stop him, I felt so bad for him:(.

After the booths we went to Bob and Ann's to hang out with them, Tamara, Becky and Scott. We had dinner and then played Gestures with everyone plus Becky's friend Marci and her boyfriend Brian. It was so fun and a great way to get to know everyone. Then Becky and her friends went to the Merc roof to watch fireworks, while we watched from the deck, it was a great view. Overall it was a great day. Thanks Francoms.
