Fun in the Sun!
We went to Lake Powell a few weeks ago with Andy and Alicia Black, and Suzie and Steve Francom families. We had so much fun. The kids loved fishing, and chasing ducks, Steve taught Bryant to knee board (thank you so much), I learned how to wake board, there was tubing, jet skiing, boating, swimming and lots more. I loved how all the kids got along so well. I think my favorite was watching Steve and Taylor battle Andy, and James on the tubs. Thank you so much for letting us tag along Francom and Black family, it was fun making memories with you guys. Hopefully we can do this again.
First Day of School!
I think I better get the boys first day of school blogged, before I have to blog the last day. I am so happy with all my kids teachers. We always love Lana, Mrs. Smith has been great for Conner, and Mrs. Adams is perfect for Bryant. I love how both Conner and Bryant’s teachers aren’t crazy about homework, it makes for a much better experience. So far all the boys are loving school, but I think I am loving it the most.
Soccer Mom
Conner was our only soccer player this year. It was fun watching him play. The little ones had fun playing with new friends, but when they were bored it was nice that James had his Ipod. Good Job Conner! You are an awesome soccer player.
Mom and Sisters Girls Trip!
My Mom, Candace, Jami and I decided to go for a Mom, sisters girls trip. We went to “Les Miserable” in Cedar City, then we went down and stayed in St. George and went to “Hairspray” at Tuacahn. It actually started off way stressful because my Mom thought the Les Miserable tickets were for the evening, but it actually started at 2:00, so we had to haul to get over there in time. We only had one brake the whole drive, but we made it with time to change and use the restroom. It was funny when we came on to I-15 from I-70, my Mom had me call Jami who was coming down from American Fork, and she was right behind us, (I think we cut her off).
After the stress of trying to get there, the rest of the trip was very relaxing and fun. We ate good food, shopped, watched Olympics, and slept. My favorite was “Hairspray“. I love the Tuacahn Theatre. Afterwards I wanted to come back so bad with James and the kids and watch Aladdin. Thanks Mom, Candace and Jami (my sleeping buddy) for making it such an awesome trip. Till next time… “You can’t stop the beat.”

Tennis Camp!
Bryant and Conner both did tennis camp this year, and they loved it. They did pretty good for their first year, I am very proud of them, but what I am most proud about is that they got a little prize for helping pick up the tennis balls after practice. I love that they were willing to help without being asked. Thanks Colette for all your hard work.

Grandkid Pictures for Mom
My brother’s family came to visit, my Mom realized that all the grandkids were going to be here, and wanted to get pictures at the temple. The kids were awful while we were there (sorry to anyone who came that Saturday morning in hopes of having a spiritual moment). Although the kids were difficult the pictures actually turned out pretty good.
4th of July 5K
My friend Beth talked me (and a lot of other Zumba goers) into doing the 5K on the 4th of July. I didn’t train and she was 8 months pregnant so we decided to run together. We actually did really well, we only had to stop once for contractions, then she took this band thing off she was wearing and we were good the rest of the run. It took us about 37 minutes.
We didn’t have our camera, so later we wore our same shirts that we wore for the run and took pictures after Zumba. It looked very authentic taking the picture after a nice, sweaty workout.
Thanks Beth! It was actually a lot of fun, we will have to do it again.
