We blessed Owen on Mother’s Day May 11, 2014. The Mother’s Day the year before I had just had Javin and didn’t know why the kids were so adamant about me coming to church until I got there and realized the primary was singing to the mothers that day. That was so hard to go to. This Mother’s day was so much better.
I requested my dad make pulled pork for the dinner, and we had the best pulled pork sandwiches. My mom told me my dad had babysat the meat all night long, the meat had been done, but my dad decided to keep it in for about 30 more minutes, then he went inside. After a few minutes Candace comes over and tells them that the meat was smoking, like fire smoking. They came out and saw that the meat had caught on fire. They got it out and peeled off the burnt part and it turned out really good. My dad also had the blender explode the mustard sauce all over the kitchen. It just wasn’t his day, but it was good.
That awkward moment when your grandpa falls asleep on your lap.
